Minutes

in Hell

“And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day.”—Jude 1:6 (NIV)

The Greek word Tartarus appears once in the entire New Testament. Second Peter 2:4 says, “God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to [Tartarus], putting them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment.” Most English versions translate Tartarus as “hell” or “lowest hell.” The word Tartarus can be defined as “the deepest, blackest abyss of Hades or hell.” According to Jude 1:6, the angels abandoned their proper dwelling in heaven. For this sin, God cast them into Tartarus, where they are held “in pits of gloom” (AMP) for a later judgment.

I was sitting on the couch, watching the movie, Junior. Next, I found myself descending into the yawning mouth of Tartarus (Hades or hell). I descended into the thick abyss of darkness, and the Catacombs of hell welcomed me with a kind gesture. I was there not metaphorically but literally, spiritually, and physically. Hell is not metaphorical or allegorical but literal. Only those who have tasted the horrors of hell can possibly know what this means. My cerebral could not grasp the smallest scintilla and magnitude of this kind of horror. I feel like if I had been in the setting of Jude 1:6 for any longer, I would have come back mentally deranged, a mad, maniacal maniac. If I were in the confines of my physical body in Tartarus (hell), I probably would have died of cardiac arrest within minutes.

Like the rich man in Luke 16, I lifted up my eyes from the bottoms of the earth and saw the fallen angels bound in everlasting chains of darkness. I noticed that I could see and hear with absolute clarity. As I was standing there, these angels started to shake the cages so violently that rocked my entire being like a 7.2 magnitude earthquake. The noises that were coming from the prison cells filled my ears with pain. I am surprised my eardrums didn’t explode open. As they were shaking the cages, they started gargling and gargling, the most horrible noises, which no ear of man can tolerate. If these spiritually deceased angels of old were not confined in chains of darkness, these reprobate beings would have mutilated and cannibalized me in seconds.

Hell (Hades) is more tangible and physical than the natural. Hell (Hades) is more real than you are sitting here right now, telling yourself that hell (Hades) is not real. This place is what you would call an inflexible, invariable, and unalterable fact. The fallen angels in Jude 1:6 make demons look like Puritans. I have seen both!

Each of these experiences should be filtered with Scripture. Only God knows if these claims are true. I have filtered my supernatural encounters with God’s Word, and they all check out. It is not a new revelation if it’s in Scripture. If I can see the sun, which is in Scripture, it’s not a new revelation. If I can see Jude 1:6 (hell), which is in Scripture, it’s not a new revelation.

Divine revelation from God is closed, not open; the Bible is complete. Revelation is information that God makes known about Himself and His plans that have never been made known before. This is different from illumination, which is to make divine revelation understood. When the hordes say they are receiving or presenting a revelation, they are referring to illumination. Unless they are a quack saying they are a revised prophet, then write them off as a biblically immature liar.

Biblical visions are considered an illumination to make the revelation of God understood. A vision from God is not a new revelation but an illumination that reveals the truths contained in His existing revelation. Illumination depends on prior revelation. Legitimate biblical visions confirm God’s Word. If a vision cannot confirm the Word, it is paper-shredding trash. Illumination also separates believers from unbelievers when they read the Word of truth. So, seeing Jude 1:6 and 2 Peter 2:4 is not a new revelation? Why? Because those two verses are in Scripture. This experience is an illumination of God’s revelation.
